Read Jeremiah 29:11-13
Not knowing where you are going can be pretty disheartening. Whether walking in a mall, driving to an unfamiliar place, or even not having direction in life… we can become discouraged and have no hope.
I remember this happening several times throughout my life. In high school, I felt this way trying to figure out what college to attend and what direction to pursue in my life. At the end of college, having to figure out whether to go on for more schooling or not was another time I struggled. Even more recently, as work was becoming unsettling and there was a sense of uneasiness in my heart, I wasn’t sure what God was doing. It’s in those times that instead of trying to solve our problems on our own… we need to seek out and find God.
In today’s passage, we see that Jeremiah was telling his fellow countrymen to not only know that God has plans for them… but no matter what, they needed to call, come, pray, and seek out God… because when they would do that, they would find Him.
I don’t know where you are today-maybe you’re in that confusing time… maybe you just came out of it. Or maybe God’s getting ready to put you in a time like that soon… in any of those ways, don’t forget to call on Him… pray to Him… and seek Him. Because when you do- you will find Him and the direction He has for your life.
