Read Matthew 6:31-33

What is something that you really want?  Maybe it’s something material (a car, a house, a new computer…) or maybe it’s something relational (restored relationship with someone) or something quantifiable (better health).  Some of these things money can buy… other are not.

Paul reminded Timothy that if we have food, clothing, and in other places he mentions shelter, then we should be content.  Elsewhere, Jesus said not to worry about where your food, drink or clothing would come.  He said that when we “Seek Him first… all those things will be added to us.  When we have those things, that’s when we can be content.  Because when we desire other things above what God promised… that’s when we can become discontent.  As it was shared on Sunday- the richest are not those who have the most, but those who need the least.

Are you content with the food, clothing, and shelter that God has provided?  If not, ask God to help you be content, because God will provide all that we need.
