YOUNG PEOPLE
As we pray for young people in our community… “Ageless God, work across
this city to save…”
The Unborn (vs 3)
Give thanks for the joy of children and families! Praise God that he cares for
every new life and knits each of us together in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13).
Pray for any pregnant mothers you know, that the children they carry would
grow up to know Christ. Pray too that your city’s culture would increasingly
value and protect the lives of the unborn.
Toddlers (vs 3)
Raising toddlers is a mix of joy and stress– but praise God for the opportunities
this stage often gives for the gospel. Pray that parents with little ones in your
church would be outgoing in getting to know other families. Ask God to open
up opportunities through toddler groups, playgrounds, cafes, and more.
Children (vs 4)
Give thanks for Christian parents in your church. Pray for them in their task
of raising their children in the training and instruction of the Lord. Pray also
for schools in the area where you live, and particularly for the witness of
Christian parents and teachers. Pray that students who love Jesus would learn
how to live for him and to speak of him to their friends at school.
Teenagers (vs 5)
The teenage years can be a difficult time when some children from Christian homes
turn away from God’s word. Pray for wisdom for those you know what are parenting
teens. Thank God for the work of youth groups, Christian camps, and Christian
groups in schools. Ask God to use them to draw many to Christ.
Students (vs 6)
University and college campuses are often fruitful, yet challenging contexts for
the gospel. Pray that Christian students would not forsake Christ, but would
instead hold out his wisdom to others through outreach events, one-to-one
Bible-reading and evangelism.
